This Dorset College program provides students with fundamental education in business culture today. Students enrolled in the Business Culture Studies program complete 14 courses, including coursework in English Language, Social Sciences and Mathematics. The program promotes the development of practical managerial skills, communication skills and business decision-making capability. Students who complete this one-year program with sufficient GPA will be eligible for transfer to either of the following programs at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT):
Advanced Diploma in Business Management (Read more about the Dorset College – BCIT . After completion of the Advanced Diploma in Business Management at BCIT, students may apply to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program by satisfying the receiving institution’s requirements.

Tourism and Hospitality Management
The Tourism and Hospitality Management Diploma Program includes most of the components required for a successful career in tourism and hospitality, students learn all the different aspects of the hospitality industry and all the departments that form an integral part of the tourism and hospitality industry from Destination Marketing and Development to develop and market a tourism destination, to Rooms Division (Front Office and Housekeeping, Facility Management), Managing Food & Beverage Operations, Marketing & Sales of the hospitality products and Convention Management & Service.
The program pays special attention to the tourism industry and all the hotels’ supporting departments require performance to support the hotel operation. The Tourism and Hospitality Management Diploma Program includes most of the components required for a successful career in tourism and hospitality, students learn all the different aspects of the hospitality industry and all the departments that form an integral part of the tourism and hospitality industry.
Preparation For Graduate Studies (PGSA)
The PGSA program provides students with an opportunity to improve their academic skills while preparing students for entrance into a graduate program. Upon successfully completion of this program (8 courses) with a sufficient GPA and other requirements will be eligible to enter the MBA program.
Students will have the opportunity to gain the skills necessary for success in an English language university and/or work environment. The program consists of three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Students can enter the program at their level of competency. All levels of this program have been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB/ PTIRU ) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training
Classes are offered in weekdays and on weekend and deliver not less than 24 instructional hours per week for 12 weeks (totaling up to 280 hours). Students are awarded a Certificate upon the successful completion of each level. All levels of this program have been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB/ PTIRU ) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills & Training.
